Bap & Kimbo Engagement Shoot

Sharing with you a few photos from the engagement shoot of my very good friend, Bap and her husband, Kimbo.

Bap-bap has been a really good friend of mine since I was in college and I’m very much honored and happy to be doing her hair and make-up for her engagement shoot and also for her wedding. It’s been years -literally- since I have last spent time with her since she now lives in Australia. The last time I saw her, her son, Zavion was barely a year old so this whole experience was such a blessing for me to have. I got to spend time with her and my godson (Zavion) as well as her husband.

Anyway, here are a few of the photos I personally took while their engagement session was on going.

Yep, it got messy at the end of the shoot but it sure did look like a lot of fun!

DISCLAIMER: I am by no chance a professional photographer so please excuse me if some of the shots not exactly the best. Hahaha!

Jazzy France: Lustrous Lip Gloss

I read about this lip gloss in one of the facebook groups last month. The post said that it was a close dupe to one of the kylie lip kits. Now, I’m not exactly sure about that since I don’t have any of the kylie lip kits but that post sure made me curious about the Jazzy France lip gloss. And so decided to get one as soon I could.

This is what the box looked like:

And these are photos of the lip gloss itself:

This is a photo of the swatches I did on the back of my hand when I bought it.

Note: This was after a good hand wash..

I have have been using this lip gloss for a good 3 weeks now and, I must say, I am very much impressed.

The first time I used it was on a long and busy day. It was a Sunday and I had 3 clients lined up. The first client was at 12nn and the next 2 were at 3pm. My 3pm gig was a debut so I would naturally end pretty late. Prior to all of these, I wanted to go to mass. so the need for a long wearing make-up was high. I decided that it was the best time to put this gloss to the test.

After my long day, I decided to check on the lip gloss and saw no budge. The color just got lighter in the slightest way. I couldn’t believe that it was still there even after eating and drinking and sweating. I was just too impressed and knew that I have to talk about it.

This product cost me just P299.00 (about $6-7 in case anyone is wondering) and I would have to say it is definitely worth it. I love the wear because it isn’t drying at all on the lips. It does not become crumbly at the end of the day (which I have experienced in some matte liquid lipsticks. There are 2 things I don’t like about this product though: That it is called a “lip gloss” instead of a “liquid lipstick” and That the color selection are mostly dark shades.

Overall, I love this product! It’s totally worth buying and spending money on. The formula is good, it’s affordable, it’s longwearing and not at all drying on the lips.

Pretty Bridesmaids

Sharing with you the make-up I did for 4 beautiful bridesmaids last month!…unfiltered and unedited. 🙂

The first one is Angel. She has such a sweet face and a very bubbly personality. She’s so fun to be around!

The second one is Eunice, she has such a beautiful skin! I am always a fan of tanned skin and they are my favourite skin tones to work with.

This is Alysha, she’s only 15 years old. She request for me not to clean up her brows but I honestly think that her brow shape is gorgeous! I did a simple make-up for this pretty teenager.

Lastly, I have Keeshy. The very creative maid of honor and wedding coordinator of that wedding. So kindhearted and so artsy.

As always, I had so much fun making pretty faces even more pretty!

My first gig as a Make-up artist

My first time to teach Basic and Personal Make-up!

Okay, so maybe this was not my first gig (ever) but it’s the first gig that I organized as  Make-up artist. I had loads of fun meeting, teaching, chatting and spending time with these 5 girls!

Here’s a picture of all of us while we were studying different eye shadow and eye liner techniques:Image

Pardon my very bare face! LOL!

My favorite part was when I was fixing their eyebrows! As I often say to my students, I’m pretty particular with eyebrows. I always want them looking neat yet fabulous!

Our snacks were the bomb! Thanks my good friend Angelicum for the carrot cake, the lakas-aka-healthy-living water, the chips and not to mention the heavenly sandwhich!

This a special experience for me because it was my first every teaching gig and it was my first time to teach something I really enjoy doing (personal make-up!).

WIll be posting pictures from my other workshop classes soon!
