Engagement Shoot: Racquel and Wilford

This was one of the best out of town engagement shoots I have gone to. Baler has really good food and this cove is just beyond gorgeous! To top it off, the bride to be wore Francis Libiran gowns that best suit the awe-inspiring shoot venue.

The first day was more of a laid back shoot since most of us were already tired from the travel. But the photos were as lovely anyway.

The second day was the day she wore gowns. And they looked superb!

This is my favourite shot of the whole engagement shoot! She wanted her make-up to be as simple as possible so I just opted to keep thing light and just define her brows and eyes and give her pinky nude lips.

Bap & Kimbo Engagement Shoot

Sharing with you a few photos from the engagement shoot of my very good friend, Bap and her husband, Kimbo.

Bap-bap has been a really good friend of mine since I was in college and I’m very much honored and happy to be doing her hair and make-up for her engagement shoot and also for her wedding. It’s been years -literally- since I have last spent time with her since she now lives in Australia. The last time I saw her, her son, Zavion was barely a year old so this whole experience was such a blessing for me to have. I got to spend time with her and my godson (Zavion) as well as her husband.

Anyway, here are a few of the photos I personally took while their engagement session was on going.

That genuine smile, they both look so happy here!

Rockin those boots! Love her laid back style. 🙂

This was before the most fun part of their engagement shoot..

Yep, it got messy at the end of the shoot but it sure did look like a lot of fun!

DISCLAIMER: I am by no chance a professional photographer so please excuse me if some of the shots not exactly the best. Hahaha!

Jazzy France: Lustrous Lip Gloss

I read about this lip gloss in one of the facebook groups last month. The post said that it was a close dupe to one of the kylie lip kits. Now, I’m not exactly sure about that since I don’t have any of the kylie lip kits but that post sure made me curious about the Jazzy France lip gloss. And so decided to get one as soon I could.

This is what the box looked like:

And these are photos of the lip gloss itself:

This is a photo of the swatches I did on the back of my hand when I bought it.

Note: This was after a good hand wash..

I have have been using this lip gloss for a good 3 weeks now and, I must say, I am very much impressed.

The first time I used it was on a long and busy day. It was a Sunday and I had 3 clients lined up. The first client was at 12nn and the next 2 were at 3pm. My 3pm gig was a debut so I would naturally end pretty late. Prior to all of these, I wanted to go to mass. so the need for a long wearing make-up was high. I decided that it was the best time to put this gloss to the test.

After my long day, I decided to check on the lip gloss and saw no budge. The color just got lighter in the slightest way. I couldn’t believe that it was still there even after eating and drinking and sweating. I was just too impressed and knew that I have to talk about it.

This product cost me just P299.00 (about $6-7 in case anyone is wondering) and I would have to say it is definitely worth it. I love the wear because it isn’t drying at all on the lips. It does not become crumbly at the end of the day (which I have experienced in some matte liquid lipsticks. There are 2 things I don’t like about this product though: That it is called a “lip gloss” instead of a “liquid lipstick” and That the color selection are mostly dark shades.

Overall, I love this product! It’s totally worth buying and spending money on. The formula is good, it’s affordable, it’s longwearing and not at all drying on the lips.

Bridal Client: Yentl Tan-Yuzon

Sharing with you a few photos of one of my bridal clients last year, Yentl Tan-Yuzon.

DSC_5454The brides’ request was simple. She just wanted light make-up and very light eyebrows. With her flawless skin, it was very much easy to do. 🙂

These are the bridesmaids at their wedding whom I also did hair and make-up for.

The experience was fun and fulfilling as usual. Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Yuzon! God bless you both.

Bridal Client: Shane Silagan-De Guzman

So happy to have done Bridal Hair and Makeup for one of my college friends.

She has been away for quite some time as she was working in the middle east as a nurse. It came as a surprise to me to be able to see her again after about 3 or 4 years!

Being the very simple girl that she is, she requested for a simple day make-up with a loose side swept  pony tail with curls. But she surprised me when she opted for the full falsies instead of the natural looking one (suited her better though).

Here are a few photos:

(Yes. That’s me on the side. Hahaha!)

My beautiful client-friend! 🙂

Thank you Shane for your trust.

Photo tutorial: Green smokey eye

Posting a photo tutorial on a simple green smokey eye look! 🙂

Sorry the pictures are not that clear, I’m still saving up for a better camera. haha!

Image

Step 1: Prime your eyes.

Step 2: Pat on light green eye shadow on the inner until mid part of your lids.

Step 3: Pat on a brighter & shimmery green eye shadow on top of the light green eye shadow.

Step 4: Add a darker & matte green on the mid until the outer part of your lids.

Step 5: Using a blending brush, sweep brown over your crease, this will help blend out the harsh edges.

Step 6: Pile on some mascara.

Step 7: Add on a a winged eye liner! 😀

Enjoy!

Trying out pop art make-up :)

…also tagged as the “comic book make-up”.

So yesterday, I was on leave from work because I was supposed to attend a Christmas party. Unfortunately, I had a very bad migraine and was in no mood to go to a party. I was, however, in the mood to put on make-up. hahaha!

One look that has become very popular these days (particularly last Halloween season) is the “comic book/cartoon character make-up” or “Pop art Make-up”. And I thought that yesterday was the perfect day to try it! LOL!

And so I did…

I didn’t realize it would be that fun! All my pictures looked funny to me! hahaha!

Make-up how to: Natural looking black eyeliner

Ever since I’ve started out doing make-up professionally, I have grown tired of vividly lined black pencil eyeliners. I love black pencil eye liners (Prestige – to be specific) but I have issues on them looking unnatural, specially when I’m at the office. I mean, some days they look okay that way but some days I just want them to look more subtle or more natural.

Here’s a technique I do to achieve that:

Image

Just line your upper and lower lids then smudge it using an angled eye liner/eyebrow brush!

Easy and simple right? 🙂
